Three letters from Shams al-Dawlah [wife of Nasir al-Din Shah] including two letters to ‘Azud al-Mulk and a letter of complaint to an unidentified person regarding the arrest of her brother, ‘Ayn al-Dawlah [‘Abd al-Majid Mirza]. The first letter is about the decree for ‘Ayn al-Dawlah in which she complains about ‘Azud al-Mulk's delay in sealing the decree and asks him to speed up the process and otherwise, to send it back with the messenger Mirza Ahmad Khan. Letter from Mahd-i ‘Ulya to Nasir al-Din Shah, 1863 or 1864
When the late Muhammad Shah's sisters visited Nasir al-Din Shah, Sahib Khanum asked Mahd-i ‘Ulya, in the presence of Anis al-Dawlah, to convey her plea to Nasir al-Din Shah. She claimed that her share of Punak property, now seized by Asif al-Dawlah and his sons, was her wedding gift from Zill al-Sultan. She was deprived of the property interest that she relied on for her family expenses. Mashhadi Husayn Farrash (from Harsin) writes to Umm al-Khaqan about his sister's son and husband who have been imprisoned by ‘Ala’ al-Dawlah because of a false accusation of murdering the daughter of Muhammad ‘Ali.
